Welcome to Star Struck Dance Studio, home of the 2009 STARPOWER NATIONAL GRAND LINE CHAMPIONS along with the 2007 & 2008 Starpower Victory Cups. Star Struck was established in 1990 by Gail Willadsen-Criscione. Over the past 19 years Star Struck has built an incredible reputation being recognized as one of the top companies in the nation. Noted for our explosive energy & versatility, Star Struck focuses on teaching not only the technical aspect of dance, but the true passion for performing. With an enrollment of 800+ students, our professional & personable staff will make your dance training experience a fun & memorable one. All of our staff were trained right here at Star Struck & we take great pride in not bringing in outside choreographers. We offer a well rounded program for all levels of dance with classes in JAZZ, TAP, BALLET, LYRICAL, CONTEMPORARY, MODERN, HIP HOP & ACROBATICS for boys & girls ages 2 thru adult. Our program begins in September & our end of year recital is held in the Concert Hall at the College Of Staten Island in June.
Our award winning Dance Company competes across the Nation winning countless Platinum medals & High Scores. (Company members are chosen at the discretion of Miss Gail & her staff). We have captured the National title on both the East Coast & West Coast. Miss Gail & her instructors are the proud recipients of Choreography Awards for their outstanding work. This year the Company won the World Championships at Starpowers Nationals in Ocean City, Maryland, being named the GRAND LINE CHAMPIONS. They also brought home the Entertainment award for the week & represented in 11 out of 13 categories at the Battle of the Stars. Maria Boshnack was awarded “OUTSTANDING DANCER” at the Battle!
Many of our students have gone on to pursue professional dance & teaching careers. Miss Jackie is dancing with the NJ Nets for her 4th year & Miss Jenn just completed her debut season on the NY Knicks. We are proud of all our Company members that are currently dancing with the Knicks City Kids & the Nets Kids.
